From celebrity weddings to the Tennessee Governor’s Inaugural Ball – Hugh has been at the forefront of cutting edge style in the South. While Hugh originally planned a career in Broadcastingafter graduating Belmont University in music business management, he initially interned with WTVF-TV NewsChannel 5 in Nashville on their daytime talk show “Talk of the Town”, and then eventually partnered with music industry power broker Anita Hogin to form H Three Events in 2007. Hugh also cites Bette Midler and Joan Rivers as inspirations. She was known in Nashville’s social circles for her style and throwing the most over-the-top crazy, fun parties – and Hugh had a ringside seat at all of her fabulous social events. Hugh recalls that “Swopie” was larger than life like the title character in the musical “Auntie Mame”.
Growing up in Nashville, Hugh’s socialite grandmother “Swopie” was a big inspiration to him. As a child, Hugh did some acting and modeling and was the face of “Po Folks” restaurants. Hugh was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, and his friends now include Reba McEntire and Laura Bell Bundy.
